Ingredients

Nettle Leaf

The nutritive backbone. Naturally rich in iron, calcium, magnesium and potassium — replenishing what breastfeeding draws down. New mums are depleted after birth, and nettle helps replenish what's been lost. It has been used for this purpose for centuries.

Fenugreek Seed

Probably the most famous lactation herb in the world. Long used across the Middle East, North Africa and India, and studied for its role in supporting milk supply. Brings a warm, maple-like depth to the blend.

Fennel Seed

Used since ancient Egyptian and Roman times to support milk supply. Sweet and aromatic, which balances the flavour of the blend. One of the herbs most associated with supporting both mum and baby's digestion across generations of nursing mothers.

Aniseed

A galactagogue and one of the most widely used lactation herbs in traditional practice. There's a lovely Dutch custom of serving new mothers aniseed biscuits to celebrate a birth. It shares fennel's sweet character and its active compound supports milk supply through the same traditional pathway.

Milk Thistle Seed

A galactagogue with a long history among nursing mothers, and one of the more studied herbs in the lactation tradition. Its seeds carry silymarin, traditionally associated with supporting healthy milk supply.

Raspberry Leaf

One of the most cherished herbs in the motherhood tradition, valued by women for generations. Rich in minerals and gently astringent, it lends the blend depth and a nourishing, grounding character, a herb that ties everything together.

Lemon Balm

Addresses the stress-supply link most lactation teas leave out entirely. Stress and poor sleep affect let-down via cortisol, and lemon balm is a traditional, gentle nervine that calms without sedating.

Dosage

Add one heaped teaspoon (approx. 2g) to a mesh infuser. Pour over just-boiled water, cover your mug and steep for at least 5 minutes, ideally 10–15. Start with one cup daily, building to two. Re-steep your infuser once for a second cup. As with any loose-leaf blend, a little fine sediment may pass through the mesh and settle at the bottom of your mug – this is normal and won't affect your brew.

Good to Know

Not suitable during pregnancy. Contains fenugreek (legume), fennel and aniseed (celery/carrot family) and milk thistle (daisy family). Consult your GP or midwife before use if you're taking medication or have a health condition. Once opened, use within 6 months.

Specifics

Why This Blend?

Breastfeeding is beautiful, but it can also be depleting. We lean into time-honoured botanicals trusted by generations of nursing mothers to support supply and recovery in a natural way.

At the heart of this blend are organic fennel, fenugreek, aniseed and milk thistle, some of the most treasured herbs in the lactation tradition. These are gently balanced with nourishing nettle and raspberry leaf and calming lemon balm, to create a restorative brew made to nurture mum as she nurtures her baby.

Nurture & Flow was born from my own struggle with low supply feeding my daughter. Every batch is blended by hand in small quantities, never mass-produced, using certified organic ingredients chosen with real care.

Caffeine free and plastic free, it's made to be a calming moment in the day - a warm cup, a slow breath, a small ritual that belongs entirely to you.
